The full answer
SIL (Supported Independent Living) is the funded support that helps participants live in shared accommodation — staff doing personal care, meal prep, life skills, community access. SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) is the actual building — purpose-built accessible housing with specific design categories. Most participants in SDA also receive SIL but they are funded and registered separately. SDA pricing is regulated by the SDA Pricing and Payments Framework. SIL providers and SDA providers can be the same organisation or different — many participants have one of each.
