NDIA-managed plans are the original NDIS payment model. The NDIA holds the funds and pays providers directly through the PRODA portal. Only registered providers can be paid this way — unregistered providers are excluded entirely. About 10% of current plans are NDIA-managed; mandatory registration in 2027 effectively expands this to all plans for in-scope service types.
