The full answer

Sole-trader support workers can absolutely work for multiple NDIS providers at the same time — that's the point of being a sole trader. You invoice each provider independently using your ABN. Best practice: 1) Declare all concurrent NDIS work in your Worker Screening Check application (don't hide it), 2) Keep separate invoicing per provider so claims don't overlap, 3) Schedule carefully to avoid burnout, 4) Use a shared calendar with multiple coordinators/providers. From July 2027, sole traders will need to register individually — the requirement applies regardless of whether you work for one or multiple providers. Many sole traders work for 3-5 small providers simultaneously, building $50K-$100K annual income.
