The NDIS Code of Conduct applies to every NDIS worker and provider, registered or unregistered. The seven principles are: 1) Act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making, 2) Respect privacy and confidentiality, 3) Provide supports in a safe and competent manner, 4) Act with integrity, honesty and transparency in all dealings, 5) Promptly take steps to raise concerns about quality and safety, 6) Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to violence, exploitation and abuse, 7) Take reasonable steps to prevent sexual misconduct. Every staff member must complete the free Worker Orientation Module and sign acknowledgement. Violations can lead to compliance notices or banning orders.
