The full answer
Behaviour support practitioners (BSPs) design and oversee behaviour intervention plans. They're in high demand and can earn $120-$200/hr as NDIS-funded capacity-building support. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or education (or equivalent experience). Preferred: Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or postgrad ABA certification. Many BSPs hold BCBA (Board Certified Behaviour Analyst) accreditation from the US-based Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) — this is international but increasingly recognised in Australia. Alternatively, ACSEP (Association of Certified Support and Enablement Practitioners) offers Australian accreditation in behaviour support. Registering as a BSP for NDIS requires: relevant degree + practising-member registration with a professional body (Psychology Board, ACSEP). Strong income but long qualification pathway (3-6 years minimum).
