The full answer
Audit findings stay on your record in different ways. During audit and closure: Major non-conformities appear on the public provider register as 'outstanding' until closed. They damage your reputation and coordinator confidence. Closed major NCs stay on the register for 3 years, then are removed (but not forgotten). Minor non-conformities: once closed, they're usually removed from public view after 12 months. Internal record: you keep detailed records of every NC and closure evidence for your files indefinitely. Auditors at your 3-year re-registration audit will review your history — a pattern of repeated NCs (same issue closing multiple times) is a red flag. Provider Scale's audit-prep service includes reviewing your audit history and identifying risk areas before the next audit.
