The steps
- Identify any practice that restricts a participant's rights or movement
- Apply for authorisation under your state's framework
- Develop a Behaviour Support Plan with a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Lodge BSP with NDIS Commission within 12 months of authorisation
- Report all use of restrictive practices monthly via the Commission Portal
- Review BSP and authorisation annually
- Report unauthorised use immediately as a reportable incident
