- Day 1 morning: NDIS Code of Conduct + Worker Orientation Module
- Day 1 afternoon: organisation, roles, policies overview
- Day 2 morning: participant cohort, service types delivered
- Day 2 afternoon: clinical/operational training (manual handling, medication, etc.)
- Day 3 morning: shadowing experienced staff
- Day 3 afternoon: competency check + paperwork sign-off
- Document everything in the staff training register
Common mistakes to avoid
- Skipping the Worker Orientation Module
- No competency check at end of induction
- No documentation in training register
